Manteca Sesame Paste is a thick, oily paste made from ground sesame seeds. It is added as a necessary component to many dishes, for example, to falafel, to hummus, in addition, it serves as the basis for many sauces.

Manteca Sesame Paste contains ground sesame seeds (100%). When used, the paste is diluted with water to the consistency of liquid sour cream, lemon juice, salt and garlic are added, and in different regions various syrups or other additives are added to the base.

The classic snack hummus is made on the basis of chickpeas and sesame paste.
